Difference to foam, powder or CO2 fire extinguishers

In contrast to conventional, larger powder, foam or CO2 fire extinguishers, the new MAUS extinguishing technology fights fires for nine to ten seconds without leaving any extinguishing agent residue, meaning that no damage is caused by the extinguishing agent. The potassium-containing aerosol smoke encapsulates the fire particles and prevents re-ignition, extinguishing the fire. CO2 fire extinguishers have a large filling volume and, unlike MAUS Xtin "Small", can endanger people by removing oxygen.
