Compatibility

To install an SKEP 117 on your vehicle, please note the following requirements :

1. Tow Hitch: Your vehicle must be equipped with a standard, compatible tow hitch.
2. Minimum clearance: There must be a clearance ofat least 4 cm betweenthe lower edge of the tailgate or double doors and your trailer hitch in order to install the SKEP 117.
3. Maximum Load: The permissible vertical load (or "S" load) must be compatible with the total weight of the SKEP 117, the bike rack, and the bikes being transported. The "S" load rating of the trailer hitch (indicated on a riveted plate attached to the hitch) must be taken into account to ensure that this limit is not exceeded.
4. Weight of the bike rack: approximately15 kg fora bike rack mounted on the trailer hitch, which is factored into the calculation along with the weight of the bikes and the weight of the SKEP 117.
