Smutje – the kitchen shelf. Suitable for the VW New California T7

The Smutje consists of the actual shelf and the corresponding holder. 

The shelf can be easily removed from the holder, even when the roof is closed. This allows you to take the Smutje outside for barbecuing. Inside, rubber cords ensure that nothing slips, and a felt base prevents annoying rattling while driving. A kitchen roll can be hung underneath the shelf. The elastic cord ensures that it is always pressed against the bottom of the shelf so that it cannot roll off unhindered. The aluminum body is covered with durable Oxford fabric. The Smutje is closed with magnetic fasteners so that nothing can fall out.

The shelf holder is extremely discreet and has no sharp metal edges; all corners have been rounded off. EPDM buffers protect the VAN from scratches and ensure that the shelf cannot slip, even when the roof is open.

The kitchen shelf is simply attached to two existing screws on the aluminum rail; the screws are replaced and are included in the scope of delivery. There are four possible positions in the T7.

We recommend: Put heavy objects (e.g. coffee cups) at the back and lighter ones at the front!

Due to its design, the Smutje is always tilted slightly forward, so all objects should be secured against slipping out with the rubber ropes inserted, but we also recommend filling the Smutje carefully due to the driving situations that occur.
